By downloading, installing, or using LinguaAI, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the application.

2. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE

LinguaAI is a client application that provides a user interface for AI-powered translation services. The application operates under a "Bring Your Own Key" (BYOK) model, connecting you directly to third-party AI services using your own API credentials.

3. BYOK MODEL AND YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• You must obtain and manage your own API keys from supported AI service providers
• You are responsible for compliance with the terms of service of any AI providers you connect to
• You are responsible for all usage and costs associated with your API keys
• You must ensure your API keys are kept secure and confidential
• We do not provide, manage, or have access to your API keys

4. APPLICATION LICENSE

• We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use LinguaAI
• You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
• You may not redistribute or resell the application

5. ACCEPTABLE USE

You agree not to:

• Use the application for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to circumvent or disable security features
• Use the application to transmit harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content to AI services
• Violate the terms of service of any connected AI providers

6. THIRD-PARTY AI SERVICES

• LinguaAI facilitates connections to third-party AI services
• You must comply with the terms of service and acceptable use policies of each AI provider
• We are not responsible for the availability, performance, or policies of third-party AI services
• Your relationship with AI service providers is independent of your use of LinguaAI

7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

• LinguaAI and its design are owned by Jacobs Language Services
• You retain ownership of any content you input into the application
• Output from AI services is subject to the terms of those respective services

8. DISCLAIMERS

• The application is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We do not guarantee the accuracy of translations or AI-generated content
• We do not guarantee compatibility with all AI service providers
• The application may be unavailable due to maintenance or technical issues

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jacobs Language Services shall not be liable for:

• Any costs or damages arising from your use of third-party AI services
• Loss of data, API keys, or service interruptions
• Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the application

10. NO SERVICE TERMINATION

Since LinguaAI is a client application running on your device:

• We cannot "terminate your access" to the locally installed application
• We may discontinue updates or support for the application
• You may stop using the application at any time by uninstalling it

11. UPDATES AND MODIFICATIONS

• We may release updates to improve functionality or security
• We may modify these terms from time to time
• Continued use of the application constitutes acceptance of any new terms
